Life Lesson

Today it was sunny outside, when I left my house. I thought it would be nice to wear my rainbows and a jacket with no hood, but that was a huge mistake. I went to collect donations with some CU people for Habitat for Humanity, and during my first of two hours it was cold. Very cold. The sun was peeking through the clouds though, so I was hopeful it would get sunny. Judith called me an extreme optimist because of my hope, which is something I have never been called before, which is nice. Wrong, but nice. Anyway, during my second of two hours after being told it was a "rookie mistake" to wear sandals, and Nathan suggesting we change the charity to the "Julie shoe fund", he said "At least it's not raining." Shortly there after it started to snow. Huge flakes. Snowing all over me and my no hood and my sandals. So I pretty much froze to death.

Moral of the story: Ireland will have all the seasons in one day, have a hood, and maybe don't wear sandals when it's snowed the day before.

I can't believe you wore sandals in March! In IRELAND.
